And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, but encouraging one another
Do you know one of the first things the church did as a movement was to go out and be among people, literally speaking their language? That's what we aim to do today. All these groups below are just about hanging out, having a good time, with no forceful push towards Christianity. Just some Christians being around and talking shop with whoever shows up.
Junior Youth Club
Ever wanted to experience a small riot? Come along to JYC on a Tuesday night at 7.30 to see us cram a bunch of 7- 11 year olds in the church! Luckily, we’ve got some excellent leaders, so you don’t have to experience the riot yourself, just drop your kids off and when you pick them up an hour later they’ll be knackered.
(In hindsight, this probably isn’t the best advert, but it’s accurate)
Senior Youth Club
Every Friday during term time we fling wide our doors for anyone of secondary school age to come hang out, play some sport, eat some sweets. Come join us from 7.30 – 9pm!
The Bridge Youth Cafe
Just like a normal cafe, except if you kicked most the adults out. We’ve got gaming, we’ve got food, we’ve got space to just have a chat. Open every Saturday from 12 – 5.30,
A light hearted meeting of some older members of the community, Luncheon Club caters for nearly 65 people each week, providing a time of good food and great conversation for both attendees and volunteers. Transport is available, and new diners and helpers are always welcome!

The Alpha Course
Alpha is all about asking questions. It’s about looking at the Christian faith and seeing what you really think about it. Whether you just want to find out more about all this God stuff, or want to strip an existing faith back to basics, we’ll do that over food, a film and a chat. No jargon, no pressure, no charge.
For details of our next Alpha course, keep an eye on social media or the events calendar.
Fourth Sunday Adventures
When you’re in the middle of this wonderful landscape, it’d be stupid of us not to use it, right? On the fourth Sunday of every month, you’re invited to come with us on an adventure to some corner of Cumbria to explore creation in the most immersive ways possible. Family friendly and super relaxed, it’s great for getting spiritual – whilst also having a bit of a natter.
Christians Against Poverty
If you are feeling weighed down by debt, then we can help. You may think your situation is impossible, but there is hope. Our friendly team will give you a listening ear in the privacy of your own home and along with CAP HQ expertise develop a debt recovery plan for you.
Here’s a short video, where Phil tells us what CAP has done recently in his 2018 update.
