Do you know one of the first things the church did as a movement was to go out and be among people, literally speaking their language? That's what we aim to do today. All these groups below are just about hanging out, having a good time, with no forceful push towards Christianity. Just some Christians being around and talking shop with whoever shows up.

Youth

  • Junior Youth Club

    Junior Youth Club aims to provide a fun, friendly and safe environment for children aged between 7 -11 year old.
    The night includes different activities from sports, crafts, baking also festive parties. Each week we finish with a 5 min catch up and short prayer.

    When: TUESDAY (TERM TIME), 7.30PM – 8.30PM
  • Senior Youth Club

    Every Friday we fling wide our doors for anyone of secondary school age to come hang out, play some sport, eat some sweets.

    When: FRIDAYS (TERM TIME), 7.30PM – 9PM

Social

  • Luncheon Club

    A light hearted meeting of some older members of the community, Luncheon Club caters for nearly 65 people each week, providing a time of good food and great conversation for both attendees and volunteers. Transport is available, and new diners and helpers are always welcome!

    When: FRIDAYS, 12PM

CARE

  • Christians Against Poverty

    If you are feeling weighed down by debt, then we can help. You may think your situation is impossible, but there is hope. Our friendly team will give you a listening ear in the privacy of your own home and along with CAP HQ expertise develop a debt recovery plan for you.

  • PMC LOUNGE (WARM SPACES)

    As the weather turns colder, Penrith Methodist Church is hosting The PMC Lounge – Part of the Warm Spaces Initiative. This a free heated, safe and friendly space for Penrith residents. The Lounge will deliver services including hot drinks, light snacks, access to a lunch (£4), Wi-Fi and wider support. All are welcome.

  • Fourth Sunday Adventures

    When you’re in the middle of this wonderful landscape, it’d be stupid of us not to use it, right? You’re invited to come with us on an adventure to some corner of Cumbria to explore creation in the most immersive ways possible. Family friendly and super relaxed, it’s great for getting spiritual – whilst also having a bit of a natter.
