Introducing people to Jesus

Worship

We value worship as an important part of our lives. We gather to worship God especially on Sundays, but also at other times and in other places, such as in our small groups or at special events.

Is worship just what happens in church?

No. Worship is far more than just coming to church. It impacts every part of our lives and expresses who we are as God’s people.

Worship is recognising God’s worth, honouring Him and remembering all that Jesus has done for us with thankfulness. Through worship we respond in faith to God and God’s Holy Spirit can strengthen and guide us as we move through life.

Is worship just singing songs and praying?

Although that can be part of worship, each day we have the opportunity to worship God through how we live our lives, in our jobs, in our families, in our neighbourhood and community. Offering all we do to God.

Penrith Methodist Church seeks to create various styles of worship from traditional services through to café style worship, using a variety of music from the organ to worship groups.

Our common aim is to put God at the centre of all our worship.
