I would just like to take this opportunity to give thanks for all the help that I have received during Richard’s sabbatical.
Primarily I would like to give thanks to God for the way he has sustained and guided me by his Spirit. I realise, however, that a lot of this has happened through prayer and I have been more than aware over the last 3 months that so many people have upheld Claire, the boys and I in their prayers. We are most grateful for this spiritual support that has been invaluable during this time.
I am also conscious of the vast amount of practical support that I have received from so many people over this period and so my thanks go to all who have helped me in so many ways.
Over this period I have been aware of the way in which we live out our faith as a family. As with every family, members go away for short or long periods but it is always a blessing to welcome them back. We welcome Richard and Ruth back to a joint service next week and it will be great to see as many people there as at the covenant service. There will be another family meal after the service so please do put that in your diary.
With my sincere thanks once again,
Phil.

Coffee Morning – Thank you
Thank you very much for your support of the Network/Fellowship Coffee Morning. It was in aid of the World Church and local and wider charities and raised an excellent £280. Thank you for help given and support on a cold and almost snowy morning, and for very kind donations.
It was good to have time for a chat, and it was interesting to meet with, and to help Joan Robinson with the rag rug she is making for a Sami family from the nomadic people of northern Scandinavia.

Fairtrade Matters
An oversight in the past has meant that, although we operate as a Fairtrade Church and Café, we have not had official recognition of this fact. Recently, Amy Yallop has applied for and got Fairtrade status for the Church and The Bridge, although the café is not recognised in its own right but as part of the church.
So now we are ‘official’ and the posters will be displayed in the near future.
